Greg Madison was appointed as CEO of Shield Therapeutics (STX) on June 1 2021. The shares were then 60p. Today they are 8p. In just over a year Greg has presided over a catastrophic 87% destruction of shareholder value. Luckily Greg had no shares himself just a stack of options granted to him two weeks after he joined, to incentivise him.

On February 18, I generated industrial-scale abuse (of me) from anonymous internet warriors. All I did was suggest Shield Therapeutics (STX) as a slam-dunk short, at 25.5p. I start with some thoughts on Ukraine and Russia which some of you may disagree with. Perhaps what is happening there will be a handy excuse for Eurasia Mining (EUA) to ‘fess up to the lack of bid? Then onto how bitcoin and other cryptos are faring as a safe haven right now. And why that makes Argo Blockchain (ARB) such a monumental sell. It could utterly implode. I see that more than 25% of posts on the ADVFN Bulletn Board,a few hours ago,were on Shield Therapeutics (STX) with nearly all of them slating me for all the usual reasons. I do not play the man here even though my critics do seem to have the collective IQ of a Cheese sandwich, but the ball and answer each of the bull points made to rebut my bear thesis in turn.

Shield Therapeutics (STX) has the status Omega Diagnostics (ODX) once had as a darling of the Bulletin Board savants. And like Omega was this company is heading for a cash crisis and its shares will tank by 80%. Though this will enrage a shareholder base with the collective IQ of a cheese sandwich, the shares are a stand out short at 25.5p with a 5.5p target. For reasons mainly to do with girls (well two of them) I have always been a Philadelphia Eagles fan. The last time they won a championship, Hurst, Peters and Moore were playing for West Ham - the two teams have a lot in common. Anyhow I stayed up late and for once fortune is not always hiding. Why did I get up? The market is a sea of red and I discuss that. I look at IQE (IQE) after chatting to Matt Earl, at Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT), Inspirit (INSP) and at Shield Therapeutics (STX). Nomates Neil Woodford has not replied to my polite invitation of yesterday.
